Default The Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band Event

Hi Friends.
Hope this works....
A wonderful and very tasty treat it was indeed.
The quaint little village of “Nobelton,” located in the rolling hills area of “King Township” just north of Toronto last night hosted this very unique Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Event.

Unique in the fact that the band included the talented nephew of Gordon Lightfoot,Steve Eyers on bass, John Stinson on vocal, six and twelve string guitars and Eric Kiddon lead guitar. John and Eric are both former students of Red Shea, Gordon Lightfoot’s renowned lead guitar player.

Multi talented Jim Jones (aka JJ) contributed on keyboards. JJ is a well known contributor here and is a Lightfoot aficionado. John’s vocal was complimented with sweet harmony sounds provided by each of the other three band members.

King Township is also the area in which the farmhouse was located where Gordon Lightfoot wrote a flurry of songs which he says turned out to be a “royal flush.” One of those songs included his number one hit “Sundown.” Lots of rich history in that part of the country.

Steve shared a story about receiving a call from his uncle inviting him to join the family at the Orillia, Ontario Homestead to listen to his new album which included the hit song and after hearing Sundown his Grandmother, Gord’s Mom, Jessica said “that’s the one that will be a hit” and she was right on the mark there!

This sold out event of many songs and stories left the audience in standing ovation position longing for more which is a clear indication that we just might be hearing more from this wonderfully talented group of entertainers.

For anyone who has been touched by the music of Gordon Lightfoot I would strongly recommend attending one of these events.
