Default Re: listening to Lightfoot on the vinyl cafe

I was only partly listening until I heard Lightfoot's name

Vinyl Café was recording in Toronto a couple of weeks ago at the cbcmusic.ca festival. They had a tent set up and people stopping by were being interviewed and requesting a favorite song. A guy whose name I didn't catch said that Gordon Lightfoot was a huge favorite, and he even had a brief encounter when Gordon drove his father home one night after they met at a pub somewhere. Had to be a number of years ago as the guy telling the story was 18 at the time. Another recollection (don't know when) was the Hugh's night I mentioned, but the cool thing was that it was a tribute concert and Gordon was very quietly singing along to his own songs!

I heard this Vinyl Café show will be aired again Tuesday night. FYI, Edmund Fitzgerald was requested, then jokingly the trilogy, but they settled on If You Could Read My Mind.
