Default Re: TEEN TIMERS - 1954 picture

Later:-
from
http://worldhistoryproject.org/1956/...ording-session
"Jan 26 1956
Buddy Holly's First Recording Session

Jan. 26 - Holley, Sonny Curtis, and Guess begin their first recording sessions for Decca at Owen Bradley's Barn in Nashville under the name Buddy and The Two Tones"
I invite readers here to discuss whether Gord and Terrry Whelan knew that before they started singing at the Village Corner??
a rather ephemeral picture of the barn

http://theseconddisc.files.wordpress...ctual-barn.jpg
and from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crickets
"In 1956 Holly's band (then known informally as Buddy and the Two Tones (meaning Buddy Holly with sonny Curtis and Don Guess),(posthumous releases refer to The Three Tunes) recorded an album's worth of rockabilly numbers in Nashville"
I have written this at the rehab Unit's day room computer (a severely restricted Windows XP machine) as an alternative toay watching the usual boring daytime television from my rehab unit bed
hoping to be let out by December 5 but had to forgo the usuall splendid family Thanksgiving lunch as well as any chance of getting to Massey for once. As some small consolation Susan should visit me later with a sample plate.
