i think the goal for many is to "make it your own", that's fine ...he acknowledge that its got a great melody, so i would personally wish to hear a retake where he leaves the melody alone… and kill the extra bar he intentionally or unintentionally added, each time through … saying he SURE CAN play and sing, wouldn't be the first time he's heard that… i don't know too many folks who have acquired that quality of audio capture gear who can't deliver (but i'm sure they are out there, lol) … i hope he explores more of the GL catalog and is carrying the torch 50 years from now … the legend lives on, globally
