In 2003, I saw Michael Landau as lead guitarist in a James Taylor concert at the Melbourne Concert Hall. He was unbelievably good! He even had audience members calling that out to him between songs.

And I see from his Wikipedia profile that his early-1980s band Maxus included Doane Perry, who went on to be Jethro Tull's drummer for several decades.
