That said, regardless of whether I heard them first or second (it's about a 50/50 split) I can't abide the GG2 re-records, with limp keyboard-washes aplenty and vocals that sound like they were recorded underwater - ghastly!

Gord's Gold 2 was the first album I ever had, so all the remakes on that album I heard before the originals (except The Edmund Fitzgerald). It was a whopper when I heard the original Endless Wire for the first time.
