Default Re: Tower Minnesota concert-August 4,2013

Rats and crap. Either someone at Gord's booking agency fumbled the ball or this is a last second addition to the tour. Probably would have gone to Tower instead of Lac Du Flambeau.

Thought for a little while of trying to get to Tower, MN on that Sunday evening, but it is just too far, especially after the travel from the previous two days. And then a showtime of 6 p.m. doesn't help getting there on time either. But he is going to a really beautiful part of Minnesota, so he should enjoy the scenery. Hoping someone from the Minnesota newsgroup can get up there to see him.

Still wondering why this was announced with only two weeks to go? Darn poor marketing. Only thing I thought about it was it might allow the Gord's semi-trucks to get back to Toronto going on the Canadian side of Superior, and not have to fight Chicago and Detroit traffic going back the other way.

I thought of the line from "Wild Strawberries" where Gordon says he would play most anywhere if it would be the rent. Well, Tower, Minnesota has to be one of the most remote, undeveloped places that Gordon has played since he became really famous in the 1970's. If this is not the ends of the earth, you can see it from there! John
