Towards the end of today's AFL game Western Bulldogs v Sydney, the commentary team on Melbourne radio station 3AW were discussing Sydney's Canadian player Mike Pyke and moved onto the topic of great Canadian men. They mentioned Pierre Trudeau, Wayne Gretzky, Bryan Adams, Ben Johnson (adding that his "greatness" was later diminished) and Justin Bieber! No mention of Gordon Lightfoot, despite some of the commentators being old enough to remember his hits on Australian radio.
