to my knowledge (thanks to google and the lightfoot site) none of them have cited him as an influence or covered one of his songs, on record anyhow

but i would think Gord would be flattered to have ELH do the honours

i can think of a hundred more interesting compositions than Sundown to have someone perform but i suppose it's a recognizable american classic, so no complaints
