The glitziest Diamond Jubilee event is likely to be the invite-only Diamond Jubilee Gala at Roy Thomson Hall on June 18, presented by Lieut. Gov. Onley .
The gala will feature members of the Order of Canada and Order of Ontario receiving their Diamond Jubilee medals. There will also be musical entertainment inside — and outside, military bands will march up Simcoe St. to serenade guests. The program is still being finalized but will be broadcast on CBC.
