On the Official Gordon Lightfoot web page in the unreleased songs section it says:

Lightfoot recorded 23 guitar, vocal demos at Grant Ave. Studio in 2002 prior to falling ill in September of that year. We know the 9 demos that were completed by the band and released on Harmony. Here now are the 14 other songs that were not used for the album.

Does anyone know if any of these recordings have ever been circulated as bootlegs? Or performed live? If a gem like 'Nighttime' could be left unreleased, I wonder if any of these other songs from the same era might be just as good?
