A great set of pix Wes..almost enough for JJ to create a video trom (or at least an interesting animated gif of Gord and Carter?)
I am posting again to point out that although I realise that Halloween is nearly here and that my old memory may be playing tricks or treats on me there seems to be something decidedly spooky going on with this thread.
Please somebody correct me if I am wrong, but to the best of my recollection our new member wvglfan having arrived home after attending this concert found he/she was on a high and could not sleep so started an internet search and delightedly found us
I do not recall all of the subsequent posting only that he was sorry he had not been aware of corfid before and could not therefore have arranged to meet up with Wes.
Unfortuneately being a newbie he/she contrived to post the same message twice, then felt that an admission and apology would be the right thing to do.
When I saw those original duplicated postings I was conscious that I had done the same thing myself a few times and had usually been able to quickly cover up my tracks by deleting a duplicate. Also I had recently had a problem deleting one of my own test threads. I therefore thought a mini tutorial was in order so that the duplicate post could be deleted and save our new friend any further embarassment
My own problem is that hitherto when I have repeatedly moused over the edit button at the foot of my first posting to the current test forum thread I had entitled "test" at
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showpost.p...85&postcount=1
i could only see "edit" and the "/delete" was missing .I am sure that I made an apologetic edit complaining that I was unable to delete my posting and therefore the entire thread as I wished but today that edit is absent and a mouseover now correctly popsup edit/delete so later I will delete that superfluous thread as I had originally intended and that will be the end of it
As i said after wvglfan posted the duplicates he/she then posted a note apologising for his/her newbie error
I am certainly not imagining that because I replied quoting his/her actual words
as follows (the original is of course in the usual rectangular quote box with a now non functioning link to tfhe deleted message):-

Strangely th
at complete posting by wvglfan is now missing as you can see by scrolling up this page (presumably deleted but by who may I ask?l).
In fact I was almost beginning to think that this particular West Virginian GL fan might be a figment of my imagination were it not for three vital pieces of evidence
1.The quote I used from one "deleted" posting
2.The fact that Char obviously knows that wvglfan succeeded (following my tutorial) to delete something
3.He/she still has a member profile at
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/member.php?u=36233
Although strangely it now shows zero postings and even says most recent message.....Never!!!
No doubt once a post is deleted it is removed from the recorded total for that member's profile
In addition to the original pair of (duplicated) messages and the apology,I swear that In my email's inbox for a short period was an email from the corfid webmaster to me as a subscriber to this thread containing the text of a fourth posting by wvglfan which I only had time to read quickly but I think thanked me and acknowledged that my tutorial posting was mildly amusing . I did not consciously delete that email but now there is no evidence of it in either my inbox or deleted folders or anywhere else for that matter, and as I said this actual fourth posting to this thread has been deleted.Pretty spooky too
So there we have it , or had it.
It would appear that somebody deleted not one not two not three but four posts by wvglfan
whereas I would hace expected just one of the two duplicates to be have been deleted.thereby leaving one genuine one to fill out the thread because as it now Char's reference to us being "impressed with your ability to delete a message" only makes sense if the evidence in the form of one of the two messages were still here.
I believe that individual posts can only be deleted by either the owner Florian, the moderator person (Char) or by the originator and then only if he/she is a signed in member
Since Florian is virtually inactive here and as Char refered to the posts in her post that means that somehow wvglfan himself/herself must have deleted all four of the posts Is that right or even likely??
