I was turned on to Gord with "The Way I Feel" (the second version), and "I'm Not Sayin'". I was eight or nine years old and was struck by the 12-string guitar sound and the sound of his voice. By 1970, "Me and Bobby McGee" had some airplay, and I thought "well, he's bought the farm - it's over". Boy, how wrong I was.....
