I'm a bit late on this obviously.
In the 70s,I heard Chapin's "Cat's In The Cradle" many times on the radio but in the early 80s,I knew noting about his demise until I got my frst Billboard Book Of #1 Hits in 1986.
By then it had been 5 years. I wondered how it was I hadn;t heard about it but then I just chalked it up to being younger.
I have (formerly on VHS and since transferred to DVD) a PBS tribute concert that was taped in the early 90s. My copy ends just as harry finishes a song. (I didn;t make it to the end credits).
Weird thing,when I transferred it,that's exactly where it ended,on the very last bit of time on the disc! :>o Wonder if harry had a hand in that?
