Interesting how he's changed over the years. Back in the 70's and 80's when being interviewd, I thought he came across as a bit full of himself and made minimal eye contact with the interviewer. I chalk that up these days to insecurity about being interviewed. But in the 90's and today, he seems really happy to be interviewed and is quite connected with the person asking the questions. A case of "growing up" I suspect.
