Have been going back and reading some of the old posts. I think it was Char that wrote about her attraction for Kris Kristofferson - yep, me too! And I was thinking about why I found men like Kristofferson, Gord, Leonard Cohen, attractive. I think part of what I like are the contradictions ("partly truth, partly fiction"). Rugged exterior, hard drinking, womanizing. Songs are perceptive, poetic, tender, humorous. With all the junk music around at the time, Gordon is putting out songs like "Christian Island" - not exactly the top 40 tune of the day and sooo much better, art. So is public image who they really are? Maybe in part, but there is always so much more. I think I'm rambling and not in a good way
