Default massey hall setlist 18november2009

Massey Hall Setlist
Wednesday 18 November 2009
Ten years and one week since my very first Massey concert and what would have been my dear mother's 80th birthday, sadly she passed away in April 1999 and the money I then inherited paid for non free internet connection and hours spent in the chat room with my new friends Jenney and Susan a.k.a. Gordlover plus the wherewithal to venture to Toronto later that year to meet my future q the UK telephone charges of myself wife face to face GL
A quick review Gord came out fighting without the customary warmup although he admittted feeling nervous but later after commenting on the large number of concerts rthis year he loudly proclaimed that he was feeling "invigorated"
And later the audience gave him standing ovation whilst serenading him with Happy Birthday To You
Setlist accurately compiled using a mnemonic memory aid system thus:-
1 not a round bun but a Triangle
2 Did "Shoe" Mention My Name
3 a 14 Karat Gold plated tree
4"close that friggin' door" Never Too Close
5 (bee)hive a fashionable hairstyle when I were a lad
In My Fashion
6 (painter's) sticks A Painter Passing Through
7 The heavens opened Rainy Day People
8 Shadows (of a gate)
9 Beautiful wine from the vine
(route) 10 Carefree Highway
11 Cotton Jenny
12 Ribbon of Darkness
13 Sundown
(moot point) as usual the wrong way round since clearly it gets dark after a sunset not before the sun goes down!!
14 The Watchman's Gone
15 Alberta Bound
Intermission
16 The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald
17 Ring Neck Loon
18 Don Quixote
19 If Children Had Wings
20 Let It Ride
21 As Fine As Fine Can Be
22 If You Could Read My Mind
23 Baby Step Back
24 Restless
25 Canadian Railroad Trilogy
26 Song For A Winter's Night
encore
27 Old Dan's Records
