Re: Soupy Sales has died
As someone who grew up 35 miles outside of New York this is a tough one. Soupy came to New York when I was maybe 13 or 14. His was a perfect show for that age - the format of a kids show but humor clearly aimed higher with a healthy dose of subversiveness. I loved it. He and Frank Nastasi (who did all the puppets and the guys coming to the door that you never actually saw) were just hysterical. They'll be missed. (Frank died back in 2004.)
