Well i grew up with The Electric Company too but in those days it seems they gave no listed credits to the singers,except those in the immediate cast.
I've always had the opinion though it was harry Chapin's brother Tom Chapin.
That's just a guess but i do believe that person sounds like him.
I'll do some detective work though,see if i can get the mystery solved for you.
