Flying over the plains and seeing the country the way I did a week ago and then the Rockies appearing was amazing for me and I thought about the crossing of the country by all the people before the railroad was built was mind boggling but then thinking of the building of the railroad was almost impossible for me to understand how it was done. Let alone in 3 years. Amazing. I think Gord was trying to remember WIlliam Cornelius Van Horne's name..or Sir Sanford Fleming

Sounds like the venue wasn't too great. Beer and a hockey arena is a recipe for trouble at a hockey game but at a Lightfoot concert it's just wrong!

I took aerial pics of the ice floes on my way home - absolutely stunning to see the immensity o them, even as they have reduced due to the warmer weather..
I think folks are a bit confused about Gord's hare joke cuz they don't think of him telling an "off-colour" story like that. I saw that in Calgary-folks were trying to figure it out for many seconds..lol
