Default Re: Massey Hall - November 2009

More like they were sending us up pints of Guinness TG, but hope you will be there again with us with that boomin' bass sound. It was cool and gave us the full compliment we needed.

Also, I should mention that after meeting many of the folks and speaking to them about the music, I have discovered that there are quite a few who do sing and play but have not had experience up there on the live stage like others in the group have, and I must confess that I have a tendency to turn into a bit of a"ham" up there so this year, as I mentioned earlier it would be cool if we attract others who can join us and make a contribution, and I understand that interest is generating.

I'm happy just doing the background work with Char and handling the hosting, MC, or whatever it is they call it.

But in the past we have had some cool sessions in the hotel rooms and it seemed to be a more relaxing way as well to get to hear what is offered from those who like to perform in a sort of "house party" setting.

So a call is out to all who want to be part of the festivities to bring along your instrument if you wish or if not there will certainly be a guitar of two available.

Overheard in the lobby of Massey Hall during a Lightfoot intermission:

His voice is good, I wish he would
Sing Looking at the Rain,
Highway Songs, Minstrel of the Dawn,
Or Too Late For Prayin'.

Stay loose, RJ.
