Yes and you must unfortuneately factor in the fact that nowadays, unlike when he once flew to Europe in a Concorde in the Children have Wings days, smoking on aircaft is rigidly banned.
So as advised Baz you will just have to do what other Brits do, like silverheels, Paul from Norwich and possibly Gaby and dust off your piggy bank and fly yourself to Toronto next November when if Gord is still standing he should be up for 4 great concerts in his home theatre Massey Hall.
In 1999 I myself did just that in what was probably one of the best decisions of my life, having been told by Wayne Francis in 1997 that it was unlikely that Gord would return to the UK for the first time since 1981.
2 years later I met a great group of fans in our then active chat room online one of whom, Jenney, was busy brilliantly organising a fan convention for the November 1999 Massey season of 3 concerts, I did not need much persuasion to join in!!
There I met my future wife and chat room friend Susan a.k.a. gordlover and experienced the first of so far 5 such gatherings
( November 1999, May 2001, May 2005, November 2006 and May 2008.).
This coming November promises to be extra special as hopefully many of the crowd from 1999 will be there for a 10th anniversary reunion.. So do seriously think of coming over, there are many here who will agree with me that you will not regret it
