Hi Steve, That is good you got to know so much about your paternal great-grandfather. My paternal great-grandmother was also a school teacher. It was a one or two room schoolhouse where she taught all the grades, up until she got married. My dad was a construction worker but in the winters he drove an oil truck or semi. He was also the best harmonica player in the world, and played with some bands when he was 'older'. He passed away from a lung tumor when he was only 62. I remember how he would also characteristically pause - for up to a minutewhen someone would ask him an important question. I had to be respectful and patient many times. I remember one time a 'friend' of mine challenged him to a game or pool. (btw, he didn't drink, but he did smoke). She racked 'm up, and he called which pocket the
8-Ball would go in on the break. Then that's exactly what happened. That's the only time I ever saw him play pool.
