Doing that should have the link only show up. If you PREVIEW POST and then hit SUBMIT REPLY the unchecked option will check itself however and the video itself will be posted.

you're right, char...i don't think my tutorial (which doesn't come close to riveling a JF101 course
) is any more clear but i pasted it again becuase of the last line regarding "editing" ...i'd clean up some of these but only the poster or moderator can do so
i don't know a way of making the non-embed option a user default
