I was fine once the Stadol wore off (about 8 hours later) but I did NOT like the fuzzy-brained feeling. Fortunately I haven't been inside an OR since, almost 20 years. I made it through a colonoscopy 7 years ago with a half-and-half mix of versed and darvon. I think that's the combo - I was pleasantly amnesiac throughout what felt like 10 minutes but lasted about 30. Good luck with the thumbs!
