ah to be home
and as soon as I turned onto my street in the early a.m. hours ...I was slightly startled by an owl that swooped down across the road in front of my car-as if to welcome me back home to the wilds of this small New England town. More wildlife to welcome me home as I pulled my car into the driveway and spotted the herd of deer in the meadow. But for a few avian creatures soaring above us at work (and a very scared field mouse) -and the sighting of a big buck by some locals...the animals I was accustomed to seeing everyday in OH were those grazing in farm pastures. Cows, horses, alpacas, goats and sheep.
