Default Re: I Y C R M M ! War ich ein Buch / 1973

Jessie - interestink find you've no doubt abbenzie papers for ya ?

I listened to Ms. Lavi's cover of IYCRMM, and I found it beautifully done. The weak part IMO is not her, or her singing, its the language. I think I now know why that LATIN-derivative songs - eg French, Italian, & Spanish ? - are known as the 'Romance Languages' --(PROFESSOR of Spanish aka Don Quixote help me out here please )- er... maybe instead - why others are NOT. They no-doubt sound romantic to their homelanders, but somehow, the flowing, beautiful and (I'll borrow this yerm from the Goant Websters in synomyms - ' mellifluous') sound of the lyrics in IYCRMM looses something in the translation to German. It was German , right ?

Interesting to note - I listened to one other scrollable video of hers below , and she has a medley, including vas sa hiskgoster vrum a veeshing vell unt der vatung chains back (humour ony) - another cover of IYCRMM - and she does the dreaded "I am bored with the classic pace and sound of this monstrous hit, therefore I shall change it inextricably - to the sound of 'when you are grating a block of cheddar - and your hand gets mindlesly too close to the metal rasp surface' - lol - which is a shame for her - her voice is beautiful - and so is she..in the main video you provided - thank you JESSE BTW, but in her ' I am bored with this and in medley will speed it up like 'I wrote it and have license to sing it however I damn well please, and I don't care how I sound' -

I HATE it when either O.E.M. stars or cover artists do a change of the classic to that effect, with the rare exception of a unique and beautiful interpretation of the song approach-- example LIGHTFOOT - solo. on one knee. kneeling before a 1996 or 07 Denver concert version - all acoustic, slower, all GL solo,'East of Midnight' - a song I never liked - but I did after that standing ovation which i applaud... but NEVER sound bored with a song - which she did in the medley - and she also lost her opppurtunity to posess that beauty - by doing the classic buckle under to peer pressure from other women - I know I am making a generalization that is not true for Many women who shorter hair suits beautifully - ie Ann Murry - et al

, but there is a whole 'nother cadre of woman (my WIFE told me it was HER observation in the workplace - my wife said it was true 10 x over - after you have a baby -a woman -is cajoled especially by family and friends and 'co-workers'-big one - cut cut cut their hair (until their husband hates it) - IS THE RUB LURKING - BUT GOD HELP A MAN WHO IS AsKED IF HE LIKES IT AND SAYS, well honey, I HAVE ALLWAYS LOVED IT long..er...did u want my opinion,or a validation of yours ?- type Q --lol laughtrack please. -

Merry my wife - was counseled before we were Married - that among 7 key Marriage longevity clues - includes believe it or not - wear your hair the way your husband likes it....mixed with how you like it - but DO NOT cut it the way others - mothers, sisters, woman who don't care sometimes anymore and go for convenience because often the romance is gone out of their marriage- so why grow it to HIS liking ?(including manhaters - not orientation - I mean true HATERS of men...they invariably it seems to cut their hair the more angry they get at men.... my personal observation, agreed with me by a bevy of middle-aged woman I chatted with in the lunchroom for years....(and my wife said it is SO TRUE)) say to do it.... thats my controversial statement for the day....

- Jese -please send all hate mail to me care of 'gone to Spain' - where longhair is sign of beauty well into their 70's- its their 'crowning glory' - my 'best friend' so to speak (sounds funny when your 50) - his mother is in her early 70's. , and they ballroom dance - husband and wife - he still is a champion for his age class - weighlifter/bodybuilder - so he can 'spin her around on his pinky overhead' lol - well she still wears her hair BY CHOICE - we are not talkng mysogeny of chauvinism or bossy husband here - but a wife;s genuine desire to look attractive ti her husband - and I have no dot doubt the fire is burning despite the snow on the roof, and eves, and pile against the cabin walls lol....

her hair is coliured same as her old natural blond I remember 40 yearS ago when I used to sleep over at Mike's house- and when she came down to talk to us, I would -allthough ony 10, stammer, and stutter and think(Oh my God this is a beautiful woman, how weird to have a MOM look like that) - which Mike heard forever....but her hair was, and is now almost to her knees ...used to be to her ankles..granted that is an excess..but THEY like it....and she said the key to growing it out when girls were with us over their house around when I was 20 or so... 'How do you grow it so long without split ends', mrs. ..( ) ? -

She replied ( I have no opinion) 'That's because girls, the hair salons would go out of business if cutting hairshorter was not the emphasis - something 'perky' - most men I know don't love 'Perky' - they have, over the years, alsmot to a one -said they LOVE looong hair on a woman..and Mrs W continued conspiratorially "with rare exception of REAL dried hare and splitting ends.....(she used to cut hair before she opened a jewelt shop) haircutter are almost universally told to tell all women they must at least 'trim' their hair to 'avoid' split ends.....and they cut off not eh 1/4 " they said - but go from mid-back to shoulders on my wife more times than she could count while steaming over it...

.so Mrs W said - sure - hair grows 1/2 " per month - so if you 'trim split ends' more than 1/4 inch max monthly - guess what - they get your hair shorter and shorter and shorter..and thats cash in the register.... My wife kept her hair long for me, and she liked it too, and she was proud - and so lovely. - iI nver pressured her - she asked me - and I was honest, she wanted that she said. So goes it <snip> to too many woman who were born to wear their hair long - as was MS. Lavie in the video, and succum at times to externa, pressure - , and of course many who like it that way..and their husbands do to, oro to bad..... lol....or they are ..on their own...as am I now...and where to suit them selves - but LADIES - i GUARANTE ITA- IF YOU WANT TO ATTRACT A MAN - AS IN VIRTUALLY EVERY MAN i KNOW- WEAR IT LONG, AND SIMPLE...- THE CINNAMON BUNS ON TOP, BACK, OR SIDES ARE COOL . IF THE HAIR IS STILL LONG.... trust me.....
