Interesting how rain as a theme repeats itself in this song (my favorite rain themed song is Looking at the Rain).
Also interesting is the fact that the word "winsome" is in here, as it's a rather peculiar word and not used that often. A word, however, he chose to use twice in his lyrics, here and in "Rainbow Trout." It might even be in more places than that.
I tell ya, this high rotation of GL music is making me notice a bunch of recurring "themes" so to speak. I even listened to a song today that had about five words in a row that repeat in an entirely different song of his, but in the exact same order. Now if I could only remember it!

Note: thank you , Linda,
expos factos for allowing me to scrunch-up , or "
conflate" your quoted area a little, no change in content, only reduction of airspace. That way I can blabberty more. lol..
Thank you for replying on this very difficult Q/Clue ,
Linda. Lets slam-dunk it hopefully in to the
Hall of BIX-X, sung to the tune of "Bid Bad John..Big-John"
....lol -

You know I just realized I provide my own laughtrack, like the fairly weak original sit-coms (fairly...??) all the way thru at least the last half of the game.....I'm most embarrassed, and ask you to come into my humble thread and be welcome. He who has rice-paper walls, and bamboo framework should not ... uhmm.. there has to be a fake wise saying to make out of that...lol.... write thread flames ? ....who knows..anyway.......
Thank you for your patience in waiting for the reply to your submit here on the hardest of the 5, I believe. This new slam-dunk reply-time turn-around is so much quicker, I simply had unavoidable reasons I could not attend to it until now.
Yes - I too have noticed , rather than themes per se such as the ubiquitous maritime and water-body and feature themes, I have been noticing more phaseologiques, for which I understand he is quite well recognized by songwriters for. Th iodioms and of sentence ryhime; then he will just as easily write the words he wishes to convey; rhyinig or not, especially not, then he still adds a known poetic contruct such as haiku-like 17 syllables, sure enuff. I too cannot remember the last
OK: you wrote, conflated and encapsulated from above:
