Just adding a bit of trivia as a result of Q137. Not many people would have heard of the town of Kinsale or would know where it is, but I actually spent my wedding night there! It's in County Cork in southern Ireland, a few miles south of Cork City where my wife grew up. It's a tourist mecca thanks to its picturesque harbour, colourfully painted houses, atmospheric pubs and shopping streets and its reputation as the gourmet capital of Ireland.
One more bit of unrelated trivia while I think of it. In "Ecstasy Made Easy", Gord sings of sailing out of Perth (on that southern sea). In the Lightfoot Geography section of
www.lightfoot.ca , Wayne suggests it is referring to Perth, Australia. I had always thought it must be the original Perth in Scotland, because I doubted Gord would feel a connection with Australia's Perth after one trip here 12 years before "East of Midnight" was released.
