Default Re: You Know You're a (your state) resident if...

jj posted a link to the wonderful old lady we call the EX here in Toronto..
(nothing like the "Ex" I have in my personal life..lol)

yep - so many great memories..the FOOD building! yummy..the concerts at the stadium, the ball games..the rodeos, the midway and the carny games, the weirdos, the magic of riding the aerial tram across the grounds at night..wow..The old wooden roller coaster and the "do ya wanna go faster" on the rides.. (Howie Mandel used to work there but not for long tho-lol)
The Hockey Hall of Fame was on the grounds back then - open all year but we always went during the EX..
I never worked there but went every year..coming home from North Ontario in time for a visit before school started when we were younger and when we were old enough to go on our own we'd go several times..The Bandshell, the clock tower where you'd arrange to meet people..the beautiful gardens, the Horse Palace..the views of the lake from the double ferris wheel..the ice cream waffle sandwiches and candied peanuts, perogies and candy floss and then a ride on the Zipper! PUKE!!!!!!
lol
and the air show with the Snowbirds and many other planes from around the world..
the subliminal message that summer was over and school was beginning soon..
taking my own kids when they were little and seeing it fresh and innocently again thru their eyes....
