That's so ridiculous. Having only one arm is enough of a disability. Let the kid write with the arm she's most comfortable with. I really think these people who demand that a left handed person write with their right hand is doing more damage than good to the kid. I had a teacher in the second grade who used to rip the pencil out of my left hand and force me to write with my right hand. As soon as she turned her back, the pencil went back into my left hand. It was an ongoing battle, until Dad called her and told her to leave me alone. She never bothered me again, and none of my other teachers seemed to notice.
