Use abbreviations or acronyms ... Wreck, DQ, SFAWN, etc ... works like a charm. Also, when you know what's coming next, you can often write down two at once (the most obvious these days being, ROD, Sundown (that one I don't abbreviate for some reason).

I have been writing down set lists for 30-something years, long before the internet or sharing. I'm not even sure why I started. It seemed part of the history of the event, and I could reread the set list and hear the concert again in my mind. I'd write down the set list, then when I got home it went into the drawer (box, pile) along with the ticket stubs and the program ... in some cases, never to be seen again until I moved.
