I guess when it comes down to brass tacks that is really true..he has a job to do that pays the bills for himself and his family..and he employs a lot of people with his job that allows them to do the same.. that's the bare bones of it.

He certainly has the stamina and drive of a man much younger and for his fans that fill the seats he is ageless while on stage...flashbacks of Lightfoot concerts I've attended for 30+ years are all part of the experience when I sit in the audience at Massey Hall..chronologically we're all older but for those two hours I find myself again thinking back to not only Lightfoot's younger days but mine as well..as a young 20 year old, as a newlywed, a first time mum, bringing first-timers to the shows, post-marriage concerts, and of course the experience of being one of the "Net People" all make it amazingly clear to me that yes, Lightfoot music has been my life almost as much as it has been his!
