Re: Bullwinkle does Gordon Lightfoot
well this time it wasn't a 'stubbing'..
During an ice storm a few weeks ago i attempted to be creative in dispersing ice-melt along my front walk - without leaving the house..
lol
I stood in my porch..left foot on the porch floor..and right toes resting on small area at bottom of screen door to hold it open as i threw the ice melt down the walkway.. All was fine until a gust of wind grabbed the door and forced it to open more than this old gal could stretch without doing a faceplant outside on the walk..
SO - the middle toe got caught and CRACK!! there ya go - broken toe..I wrapped the toes together as I've done with other broken/stubbed toes, elevated/cold compress for several days but at the base an odd swelling had happened. SO off to the doc yesterday (3 weeks later) where x-rays did indeed confirm a break and the swelling was an edema that would subside with time..allaying my fears of having to experience a 're-setting' and perhaps a cast..so..there's my toe story..not to be confused with the stubbed/broken toe of 2006..or broken ankle of 2001, broken arm of 1999 or broken foot of 2004..or broken nose of 67...
sheesh..
lol
So I may be still shuffling along Yonge St. in May...
