Default Re: Why was 1987 Australian tour cancelled?

Hi Dave, I was fortunate enough to see Gordon when he performed at Festival Hall in Melbourne in 1974, he certainly was jet lagged ( I think they had jets then ! ), but the performance was great, he wore the leather jacket he has on on the cover of " Don Quixote ", I wonder how many of those jackets he has ?.

When you look at the program it's no wonder he never returned. ( what a week )

September 18 Melbourne, Australia

19 Sydney, Australia Opera House

21 Hobart, Australia

22 Adelaide, Australia

23 Perth, Australia

24 Perth, Australia

26 Brisbane, Australia

You can only wonder what he felt like when he arrived in Brisbane.

There is a story that once when he was performing in Melbourne Florida that he mentioned that he was horrified when he saw the tour dates that he was booked in Australia, because he hates to fly. ( he was happy when he found out it was Florida )

I hope you have a great time in Wisconsin.

All the best
Ron.
