Yeah. I've had the privilege of chatting with Willie on several occasions. In addition to his solo career he added a long time career playing mandolin, harmonica and vocals for Fred Eaglesmith.
Willie was amazing to watch on stage. Played the mandolin like Jimi Hendrix played the guitar while simultaneously playing outrageous harmonica parts and popping in with a perfect harmony at precisely the right moment. He could also flip from the wild mandolin to bluegrass in an instant.
Willie was a warm guy, a very quick wit and just all around good guy. I miss him terribly already.
