Re: Geodeticman ?
A very good question young Omer
I did some time ago contact Steve by Private Message as I had found his telephone number and wanted to make contact.
But he replied that the time was unsuitable and he would instead phone me which he never did. I believe Deby Brinkley might have talked to him being as they both inhabit colourful Colourado.
Funnily enough I was only thinking of him yesterday as I read a fine Christmas present I had chosen for myself a Barnes and Noble tome entitled "History of Aviation" and noted again that the Wartime RAF Wellington bomber's fuselage consruction was according to Steve erroneously referred to as "geodetic" I think he says it should be "geodesic".
Whatever examples of the "wrong" usage are legion example on:-
http://www.perth.igs.net/~long/wellington.htm
is this fine photograph
whose caption reads
"Wellington X MF 244 showing the geodetic framework and battle damage after a raid. (photo: Frank "Nobby" Clarke)
thinks why are all Clarks nicknamed "Nobby"
Anyway on Monday I'll try to remember to PM the recalcitrant Steve again.
But if you see this young man please let us know how you and Holly are doing
