awwww this is so nice to hear! A whole new generation of Gord fans! My mother had Gord's "The Way I Feel" and "Best of.." albums, so I too was exposed to Gord's music from a young age.

My mother and the rest of us really couldn't listen to anything we wanted to until my brother moved out of the house when he was 18 lol (he's 11 years older than I am). Even though we moved the 'family' turntable down into the basement from the living room...we could still hear whatever he was playing 2 floors above (mostly Beatles...which all of us but my father loved).

We did get a brief respite when what we later referred to as, "The day the music died"...occured. My brother was playing "Wipeout" over and over and one day, my father went upstairs, opened the window and threw my brother's record player out of the 2nd floor window....record and all.

I didn't mind listening to it but our choices of music were limited back then to what my brother was playing! When my brother moved out, my mother moved our turntable back up into the living room and she started buying record albums, including Gords!
