Yet another famous name passes away at age 81 this year. Director Robert Altman,who took the Richard Hooker novel M*A*S*H and brought it to life,passed away last night (11/20).

Altman's best known for this best picturre nominated movie but is also known for these:

Come Back To The Five & Dime Jimmy Dean-Jimmy Dean
Popeye
The Player
Gosford Park
& most recently A Prarie Home Companion & more.

Early this year he won an honorary Oscar for th whole of his career. He truly was a maverick director in his day and is acknowleged for truly helping to change the way Holywood makes movies. In both substance and style.

May he rest in peace.
