Ah, but then we who have four-leggers as companions know all too well that we two-leggers are at the very bottom of the pecking order. So it sounds like she is right where she belongs in the chain of command

I can sympathize with your situation of her going after the fly, not caring where she landed in the process. I have a cat, Kalamazoo, who usually walks across my face to get from one side of the bed to the other and appears to see no problem with it. Many a morning I have gotten up with a scratch across my cheek because of it.
