Odds are at LEAST that, some much higher depending on which lottery game you play - which is why I seldom play the New York State Lottery, or the multi-state Mega Millions. I do play Take Five (pick 5 numbers from 1-40) because the odds are better, though the top prize is around $100,00 US daily. 2 numbers out of 5 gives you a free play for another ticket. 3/5 runs $15-25, 4/5 $400-600. I get many free plays (three this past week) and the occasional 3 number ticket.
