I do agree that this recall election is an abuse of the process. The recall procedure was placed in our state constitution to provide for the removal of officials who were found guilty of serious crimes or gross malfeasance. I'm not a fan of Gray Davis but IMHO he has not done anything to merit being subjected to a recall.
