The very 1st artist to have a #1 disco song with the instrumental,"Love's Theme" who conducted the Love Unlimted Orchestra on that song and "Satin Soul" as well as producer for the female trio Love Unlimited,Mr. Barry White, passed on from liver failure last friday July 4th at age 58. Barry White also had the #1 song Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Babe also in 1974. He went on to have 11 more top 40 hits,3 of them in the '90s. Those 3 include,"Secret Garden" w/other R&B singers, the top 20 hit,"Practice What You Preach" and in 1999 he slipped in at #40 with,"Staying Power." He would've been 59 come Sept. 12th. Rest in Peace,Barry and to quote you,"You're the 1st,the last the everything",in R&B and dance music.
