Gord-friends:
It is wonderful to be alive! I am pleased for all of you that you are able to face these daily concerns. My prayers go with each of you as you deal with your own issues, but be reminded that life is beautiful and we are fortunate to be here on earth to deal with the issues that arise.
Am I sounding a bit prophetic? Well, you must pardon me then. Tonight I am able to sit here at my computer in my home. Last night at this time I was having a catheter removed from my groin following angioplasty and insertion of a stent in the main artery to the front of my heart. I am one of the lucky ones who, at age 48, got the early warning signs and heeded them rather than dropping over dead from a sudden heart attack. I now know that heart disease is a very real risk of my family history and I have inherited it. I will have to change my lifestyle somewhat but, thank God, I'm still here to do that!
During heart catheterization you remain conscious throughout the procedure. I don't remember if it was during the initial cath at Noon or during the angioplasty last night, but I distinctly remember in the background, issueing from the radio station they had on in the speakers...Gord's voice. Unfortunately they were all laughing and joking throughout the procedures and I wasn't able to just listen to him but I knew that he was right there with me as he has been throughout the past 30 years or so!
Count your blessings everyone!

P.S. Annie: Yes, dogs can have asthma symptoms. Your pup may also have tonsillitis which often affects puppies and causes the symptoms you describe. Good luck to your mom and your pup!
