First,yes I think he does. He listens to the playback in the studio when recording of course. As for at home,I doubt that but if so it's most liely to see where he's been and where he could go next.
I think it's great that James has discovered and appreciates an artist (or maybe even more) from before his time. It's no surprise to me,I see kids 20 years younger than me wearing Led Zepplin,Beatles & Doors shirts everywhere,as well as other acts we all know.
When I was around James' age,I listened to my parents and grandparents music and still do. 1900-teens through early '60s.
Then I & my brothers took it from there 1964 - present.
