Does anyone have any of the vinyl GL albums? If so do any of them contain the following 'sort of ' liner quote describing GL "He is a big guitar- surrounding man'? I seem to remember this from one of the vinyls I had years ago and always loved this description of him. I think it may have been written by John Court and appeared on one of the early albums - maybe The Sunday Concert. I foolishly threw them all out(including some Ian and Sylvia vinyls)when I moved in 1994.
OK.....just found this "He is a massive guitar surrounding singer." John Court was the producer at the time, but the quote was by Robert Markle, Gord's friend and painter.
His quote, "Gord is in my studio, and I'm trying to get this drawing done. He's singing, trying to workout something, moving all over, and he's a massive guitar surrounding singer, composer, performer, and therefore that's what the drawing should be all about. I get the drawing done he gets his song on the way, and we both get a bit of beer, scotch into us. All happy. I get back to refining my drawing, he goes upstairs for more work.".................
Just found this on an album that was a re-issue from 1967 by "UA". The re-issue is
"The Way I feel" by Liberty in 1980.
