Sorry John,I know almost nothing about UK charts. Only that musical opinions are almost opposite ours here in the U.S.

For example:Diana Ross' 1986 song,"Chain Reaction" was a #1 hit there (so I heard.)
While here,it didn't even crack the top 50! (No one knew it then but her chart fortunes were over & done with.)

I also know they make big deal about what the top song the week of Christmas is. In America,only Top 40 chart buffs like myself find that interesting.

Oh and to add more (one Lightfoot & one other act)Elvis should have done "Is There Anyone Home" and from George Harrison he should have done,"My Sweet Lord".

(By the way,"another" 35th Anni. this year. Aug. 1st will be the anniversary of the Concert for Bangla-Desh,which I'm checking out of the library today. )
