Louise, thanks for asking about how you can read the entire article, and Charlene, thanks for the extra info regarding how to access the entire article! I could only read a little portion of it, too, and was going to try to figure it out tonight after work.
To me, it is a phenonmenon what effect this man and his music has had over so many people's lives. To me, he was an enigma I never quite understood, but I was SO NAIVE then, too! I was never quite able to "wrap my head" around the fact that this man I had met was so popular and talented and "everybody wanted a piece of him". (I've even kept notes girls handed me to give him backstage, but he didn't want to read them.) I do feel honored for him to have asked me to "hang out" with him a couple of times. I'm sure he's long, long ago forgotten me because I know I was one of probably HUNDREDS but I'll sure never forget the experiences I had! It seems like yesterday (until I look in the mirror and remember what the date is now)! Barry and Pee Wee were always so kind to me as well. Since last week, when I've been trying to catch up on what's happened to him in the 30 years in between since I last saw him and now, he seems to take as much delight in his kids and grandkids as in his music, which is great because he wasn't the happiest person in the world in the late 70's!
