We know "Black Day In July" raised quite a ruckus back in '67 with Detroit and surrouding radio stations refusing to play it.

I can imagine Gord talking to the radio programmers,"What do you mean you wont play a song about a riot?"
"It won't cause another one,I promise!" "Cross my heart!" :D

On another song,"Blackberry Wine" I'm surprised in 1982 parents didn't complain about a song/video about wine being played on Mtv.
(Of course that only would have happened if the LP had been successful. )
