Sometimes they come across one accidentally and if it's small enough they watch and wait using ultrasound to check it every few weeks or months. If it starts expanding, or if it's already big enough, they'll operate. Aneurysm repair is delicate surgery but can be successful (see our Gord for a worst case scenario with a positive outcome.) This is basically how it was found... He's likely gonna be at McMaster and if he has the same surgeon as GL did I'll just flip.... I'm more concerned about dad because he doesn't do what GL had done previously. ie running 16km a week etc. Currently the size of the aneurism is 6 cm wide.... which I have been informed is not good.

Needless to say I won't always be here.
